Stefano Liberti, Manifesto journalist and contributor to "Like a man on earth," he says and says the video shot in July 2009 by a young Eritrean rejections of a document carried by the Italian government against hundreds of asylum seekers. 11 of Eritreans rejected on that occasion are now among the exiles of Braq, where more than 100 Eritrean refugees held in inhuman conditions and without any possibility of applying for asylum.
The smiles of the boys and girls on this boat, now believed to be "saved" by Italian navy, are the most obvious explanation of inhumanity that has come our country, willing, even xenophobic to reap easy consensus, not only to deny the fundamental rights recognized by international conventions but also to mock the hope of men and women fleeing violence, discrimination and poverty.
