RESPONSE TO MARONI and Frattini

2. If the government really wants to build an international operation that involves the UN and its agencies, why has not claimed at the time of the signing of the accession of Libya to key international conventions such as those against torture and the Geneva ?

3. If the fate of Eritrea can not be resolved by action on the bilateral Italy, because Italy has repeatedly bypassed the criticisms made by supranational bodies, including the European Community, but to conclude the bilateral agreement that governs all events to which we are seeing?

4. The solution of finding a job to Eritrean nationals in Libya is completely unacceptable. The right to asylum is not protected by the occupation and job satisfaction. First there must be a guarantee of full legal protection of asylum seekers, then it is desirable a work placement.

And this guarantee does not exist in a country, Libya, where there is no right of asylum and the protection of the democratic rule of law is strongly criticized by many organizations and international observers. For more

is really bizarre, if not ridiculous, for this to be the Minister of a country, Italy, which is rarely able to provide input working to foreigners who are granted humanitarian protection or refugee status.

will be difficult to get more answers to this response.

But do not despair.

We hope that the attention of Ministers on the issue continues to be high and only one reaches the right thing to do: to give protection to Eritrean refugees in our country, because there where not only can not claim asylum, but living conditions of violence and violation is completely unacceptable.
